SACP's Blade Nzimande to Address Cape Elections Rallies

As part of the SACP campaign for an overwhelming ANC victory in forthcoming local government elections, the SACP General Secretary, Blade Nzimande, will address election rallies in the Western Cape over this weekend as detailed below.

Voting ANC is the first step. There is still more to do after the elections. Poverty, unemployment, HIV/AIDS and lack of services will continue because capitalists, the bosses, still rule the economy. Capitalism is good for the rich and not for the majority.

We can win more. We want socialism. We want working class power. Deepening democracy at a local government level is part of this struggle for socialism. The SACP calls on workers and the unemployed to:

• Vote ANC on 05 December
• Build strong Ward and Village Committees
• Build Co-operatives, community organisations and other tools for people's power
• Build a strong ANC
• Build strong trade unions to defend workers
• Build the Party fighting for socialism. Build the South African Communist Party.
