SACP Press Release on Red Thursday

18th May 1999

In line with the 6-7 February 1999 Central Committee meeting decision to work actively to ensure an overwhelming ANC victory on 2 June,  we will be having pamphlet blitzes and meetings in several industrial areas/workplaces
in all our nine provinces. Our activists will be particularly targetting workers who are not members of unions and those who are in non COSATU unions. The blitzes form part of our national contribution to the ANC election effort. We believe that the ANC remains the home for the working class and the poor.

• the text of our pamphlet which has been printed in several African languages.
• a detailed national programme for the blitz.
