The South African Communist Party welcomes and supports yesterday’s announcement, by ANC secretary general, comrade Kgalema Motlanthe, of the nine ANC candidate premiers. The nine are very strong candidates and will contribute to an overwhelming ANC election victory on June 2.
The depth of experience, the rootedness, and the broad spectrum that these candidates represent is unparalleled by any other political force in our country. We call on all our own structures in the respective provinces to put their full weight behind the nine candidate premiers, and behind the overall ANC election effort.
Together, fighting for change! Forward to an overwhelming ANC election victory on June 2.
