JOHANNESBURG - The SACP has announced that Blade Nzimande has been re-elected unopposed as general secretary with no objections its 14th congress in Boksburg.
Solly Mapaila received a standing ovation as he was elected new first Deputy General after the announcement earlier this week by Jeremy Cronin that he would not stand for re-election.
Senzeni Zokwana has accepted the nomination for the national chair position, while Thulas Nxesi its deputy chairperson.
Joyce Moloi-Meropa has been elected as national treasurer.
Also new to the top leadership, is newly elected 2nd deputy general secretary Chris Mahlako taking over from Mapaila.
