JOHANNESBURG - The South African Communist Party (SACP) is holding a briefing this morning.
It has been reported this week that President Jacob Zuma indicated to the ANC's alliance partner that he intends axing Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan.
The party is expected to clear the air this morning on whether or not they were consulted about a Cabinet reshuffle.

On the same day that Zuma instructed Gordhan to cancel his international investment roadshow and come back home with immediate effect, he and other ANC leaders held bilateral meetings with the SACP.
However, another ANC alliance partner Cosatu has since indicated the federation has not been consulted about a possible change to Cabinet.
