Chris Hani killer will be released in jail in two weeks time

Chris Hani killer Janusz Walus will be released from jail in 14 days following his successful parole appeal in the Pretoria High court

Walus used the same lawyer as Eugene de Kock , Julian Knight.

Meanwhile the South African Communist Part (SACP) is currently in a meeting with the family of #ChrisHani and will decide on the way forward, according to reports.

The party confirmed that that Walus will be released on parole within 14 days.

Political parties have reacted on the release of Chris Hani killer on parole.

United Democratic Movement president Bantu Holomisa said they have noted the release but it does not mean they are satisfied .

"The UDM notes the release of the killer of Chris Hani, but that doesn't mean we are satisfied with the release," Holomisa said.

Economic Freedom Fighters spokesperson Mbuyiseni Ndlozi said that it must always be noted that Walus took the fall for the system has not fallen

"The racism that killed Chris Hani remains today in the systematic protection of white privilege at the expense of black people," Ndlozi said.

Derby Lewis and Walus were sentenced to life imprisonment after assassinating former South African Communist Party General Secretary Chris Hani at his home in 1993.
