The Friends of Jacob Zuma Trust says it is furious that the National Prosecuting Authority plans to ask a judge for permission to get documents in Mauritius that could be used against Jacob Zuma.
It emerged yesterday that prosecutors will ask a judge to issue a letter under the international assistance in a criminal matter act in a bid to get papers currently held by the Mauritian High Court.
It is thought the papers involve a diary that could help prove Zuma attended a meeting where prosecutors say a bribe was arranged.
The bribe relates to the controversial multi-billion rand arms deal.
The trust's Kaiser Mohau says what the NPA is doing is a political ploy against Zuma.
