JOHANNESBURG - Motorists have been warned they will no longer be able to travel on the original southbound lanes on a section of Oxford Road from December 10 as a result of work on the Gautrain project.

The affected section is between Bolton Road and Jellicoe Avenue.

Traffic from the direction of Sandton will be moved onto the current north-bound lanes, which will be converted to a one-way street.

The north-bound traffic will be diverted onto Bolton Road, right onto Sturdee Avenue, right onto Jellicoe Avenue and left onto Oxford Road.

Bath Avenue will be converted into a two-lane dual carriageway and will be reserved for public transport.

Visitors to the Rosebank Clinic will approach it from the south and turn right into the parking area.
