Red October Campaign 2017-2018 main rally
8 November 2017
The South African Communist Party (SACP) in Moses Mabhida Province is organising a massive rally to consolidate work towards building the broadest possible patriotic front against crime including corruption and violence in general and gender based violence in particular. This Red October Campaign 2017-2018 main rally will be the SACP`s main platform to celebrate the Centenary of the Great October Socialist Revolution which occurred in Russia in 1917.
The Red October Campaign was named by the SACP after the Great October Socialist Revolution which became the source of courage and inspiration for liberation struggles across the global south. The Soviet Union, which was established as a direct state outcome of the Great October Socialist Revolution, contributed immensely to our struggle for liberation and social emancipation and offered financial, material and training support towards the defeat of the apartheid regime.
Cde Blade Nzimande, SACP General Secretary will address the rally as the keynote speaker on behalf of the Central Committee, Politburo and membership of the Party. The rally will be attended by the rank and file of Party, community members and supporters of the SACP, international guests, members of the Young Communist League of South Africa and the Party`s alliance partners - and will receive their messages of support.
