SACP GP ready to host National Red October Campaign closing rally

4 November 2016

It is all systems go as the South African Communist Party Gauteng Province prepares to host the Red October Campaign Rally for 2016-17 in Sebokeng, Vaal District.

Preparations for the rally to be held under the banner "Reclaim our townships and villages, intensify mobilisation for our revolutionary democratic transformation" have reached an advanced stage, and the Province is positive that the event will be a success.

The aim of the rally is to reclaim the lost ground in our communities following the decline in support of the ANC-led Alliance during the 2016 local government elections.

We believe the strategic focus for this year's Red October Campaign is even more relevant in our province where three Metros were lost in one election. Whilst the Ekuhruleni Metro is under the control of the ANC, the Tshwane and Joburg Metros are directly under the control of the DA-EFF regime of counter-revolution.

We are convinced that the Red October Campaign Rally gives us a rare opportunity to commence immediately with a clear programme of action to reclaim lost ground in our communities.

We believe the Rally will reposition our structures to intensify the fight against corporate capture of the state, the divisive tendencies of factionalism and rampant corruption as they have a potential to tear the revolutionary movement apart and implode the National Democratic Revolution (NDR).

Media is invited to attend the rally which will be held as follows:

Date: Sunday, 6 November 2016 Venue: Sol Tsotetsi Multi-Purpose Centre, Sebokeng, Vaal District, Gauteng Province
Time: 10:00am
