"Transform the financial sector to serve the people"

The South African Communist Party (SACP) in the Eastern Cape has established the Financial Sector Campaign Coalition (FSCC). The FSCC is established in line with the consistent campaign of the SACP that of calling for the transformation and diversification of the financial sector to serve the people. It brings together a range of social forces, COSATU, ANC, SANCO, YCLSA, ANCYL, SASCO, COSAS, SACC, PAC, Taxi Association, SANGOCO, AZAPO, NAFCOC, EC Sports Council, Cooperatives Development Network, SGBs, SMMEs, etc.
The recent student struggles for free quality education has put impetus to the urgent need to transform the financial sector to compel them to contribute in the development of our country including free quality education.
The SACP led FSCC will have a march to the big banks in calling for the transformation and diversification of the banks to serve the people.
The march to the banks will be held as follows:
