SACP today launches its 2015 membership month
6 September 2015
Cde Thulas Nxesi, SACP Deputy National Chairperson will today, Sunday 6 September address the Communist Party`s 2015 membership month launch. This annual campaign, launched in the month of September takes forward SACP`s political programme adopted at its 13th National Congress in 2012 to build the Communist Party as a large vanguard party for socialism - which is qualitatively different in both nature and character from a mass party.
The campaign is therefore not only about recruitment but marks the opening of a new, annual cycle of political education and ideological training combined with political activism. This coincides with and symbolises the massive processes of green renewal, photosynthesis and blossoming overwhelmingly emerging during this period in plant life in our part of the world after long, dark, wintry nights. The membership month is integral to our party`s processes of organisational renewal to produce a breath of fresh air and is used to prepare the ground for our annual Red October Campaign to be launched next month.
Details for today`s event are as follows:
Venue: Phatshimang College Hall, Galeshewe, Kimberly
Speakers include senior leaders of the alliance partners ANC, COSATU and SANCO and the National Secretary of the Young Communist League of the SACP, Cde Mluleki Dlelanga.
