SACP postponed its annual Augmented Central Committee Plenary Session
The South African Communist Party has postponed its Augmented Central Committee meeting that was scheduled to take place on 2-4 December 2016. This important annual meeting of the Central Committee, which is extended to additional delegates from Provincial Executive Committees and representatives of District Executive Committees of the Party from across the country, as well as to additional delegates from the Young Communist League of South Africa, will now take place on 14-16 December 2016.
SACP mourns the death of the Commander-in-Chief of the Cuban revolution, Comrade Fidel Castro, an internationalist revolutionary par excellence
The South African Communist Party (SACP) expresses its profound revolutionary solidarity and condolences with the people of Cuba and Castro's family on the passing on of former Cuban President Comrade Fidel Castro. Cuban President Comrade Raul Castro announced last night 25 November 2016 that: "The Commander-in-Chief of the Cuban Revolution died at 22:29 hours".
SACP Brian Bunting District condemns the killing of a female police officer
The South African Communist Party (SACP) in the Brian Bunting District (Cape Town Metro) condemns, in the strongest possible terms, the dastardly killing of a female police officer in a brazen shooting on 22 November 2016 in Phillipi East, Cape Town. The SACP in the District would like to convey its deepest condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of the late Constable Amanda Ladlokova.
